Obesity
People who are obese as children are more likely to have
an early death when they become adults
When sedentary children grow up, they will become obese adults with a high risk of diseases, this is because it is difficult for overweight people to do important and essential physical activities such as dancing and participating in sports.
When sedentary children grow up, they will become obese adults with a high risk of diseases, this is because it is difficult for overweight people to do important and essential physical activities such as dancing and participating in sports.
Most of the children are obese because they waste their time on activities that do not promote good health.
“Excessive time spent watching television, using the computer, and playing video games is partly to blame for the escalating childhood obesity rate” (http://life.familyeducation.com/health/obesity/29523.html )
Adults are inclined to acquire weight faster because adults don’t have as much time as children do to attend to their bodies with exercise, also they don’t care to have a sculptural body and they eat a lot of fattening foods.
“The metabolism in humans is also not prepared for an immensity of food and a lack of exercise” ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obesity_in_Mexico )
The nutrition in children in recent years has been bad, for this reason the percentage of obese kids is increasing day by day. This is very dangerous because overweight children are likely to have mortal diseases in a future, like heart diseases.
“Childhood obesity increased from 5 percent in 1964 to about 13 percent in 1994. Today, it is about 20 percent” (http://life.familyeducation.com/health/obesity/29523.html).
In the next few years the obesity rate of the Mexican people will increase a lot because many Mexicans have bad habits. They don’t eat a well balanced diet and they don’t exercise. For this reason in less than 20 years the percentage of obesity in Mexico has increased more than 50 percent.
“As of the year 2008, 71% of Mexican women and 66% of Mexican men are considered overweight compared to only 10% overall in 1989” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obesity_in_Mexico).
If today´s children continue to become more and more obese then future generations of adults will realize a rapid increase in obesity related illnesses.
